Sedation Dentistry

Patients know they can count on the team at Oral Health Associates for an exceptional dental care experience. Visiting your local Green Bay dentist does not have to be a chore. We offer sedation dentistry services to make your next appointment a more comfortable and hassle-free experience. Sedation dentistry helps patients relax and relieves the anxiety that many people have when visiting a Green Bay family dentist. Stress should not prevent you from receiving the cleaning, check-ups, and other care services you require. We offer multiple sedation options to suit the needs of each patient we see. Just mention that you are interested in sedation services when making an appointment to see Dr. Gregory Gardner, Dr. Mark Glime, or Dr. Brian Koch.

A Better Care Experience For Every Patient

A surprising number of people experience stress and anxiety when undergoing dental care services. If you have ever felt this way, you are not alone. We are dedicated to making patients feel as comfortable as possible, so we offer oral and inhalation sedation options. Both have many advantages that make them ideal for patients:

  • Oral sedation: A single pill is taken a half hour prior to the appointment. This is a good option for patients who are afraid of needles. The patient remains conscious and deeply relaxed through the entire experience. Because of the sedative effect, the patient needs to be driven both to and from the appointment.
  • Inhalation sedation: Nitrous oxide has been used to relax patients for more than a century; it has been widely studied and is one of the safest forms of sedation available. It is administered through a mask placed over the patient’s nose. The patient experiences a deep, calm relaxation and may remember little to nothing of their appointment. The effects of the nitrous dissipates quickly and the patient can drive and return to normal activities.
