Benefits of Having a Family Dentist In Green Bay

If you’re raising a family in the Green Bay area, life can get pretty hectic. You and your spouse may work on different sides of town, your youngest may be just starting preschool and your oldest may be heading into middle school. Then there are your various hobbies and extracurricular activities, which may take you from one side of the city to the other and back again on Saturday afternoons. Wouldn’t it be nice if there was just one thing you all had in common outside of the home? It may not seem like much, but when you all share the same family dentist, you can at least count on oral healthcare to be a stress-free activity.

Save Time With Our Green Bay Family Dentists

When you and all the members of your immediate family visit the same family dentistry office, you can save substantial time by scheduling each biannual appointment for the same day. Doing this not only frees up your schedule but it also results in less confusion (as you don’t have to juggle multiple appointments at multiple locations).

Easily Access Your Records At Oral Health Associates

Both children and adults may need specialized dental services over the course of their lives. For instance, one of your children may need braces, your spouse may need a bridge and you yourself may need dental implants. When you visit a specialist, he or she will need your most recent dental records. Because you all share the same family dentist in Green Bay, you know exactly who to call for the information.

Early Detection Made Easy

When you consistently visit the same dentist office for years, both the family dentist and his or her team become familiar with your teeth and those of your loved ones. The office has X-rays, examination notes, computer modeling images and other records that give personnel an accurate idea of your state of oral health six months or even a year ago and what it should look like today. Such information, along with what they already know about your teeth, allows them to better detect issues in their early stages. Early detection and intervention may prevent costly treatment down the road.

Green Bay Family Dentistry & Personalized Care

By far the greatest benefit of family dentistry is the fact that the family dentist and staff know you, your children, and your spouse on a personal level. Our Green Bay family dentists are familiar with your family history, each family member’s personality, and your individual health histories. Such familiarity enables both dentist and team to provide a level of personalized care you are unlikely to receive at a specialist’s office.

COVID-19 Notice

Dear Patients:

We at Oral Health Associates hope this notice finds you and your family in good health. Over the last few months Green Bay has been through a lot, and we all are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. One thing that has not changed during this time is our commitment to the safety of you and our staff.

You may have noticed infection control has always been a top priority at our practice. Our established processes ensure you receive care that is both safe and comfortable. The COVID-19 pandemic is not the first contagious illness to have circulated our country, nor will it be the last. Over the lifetime of our practice we have successfully prevented the transmission of many infectious diseases such as HIV/AIDS, Swine flu, H1N1, MERS, SARS in addition to our annual “flu season.” Furthermore, hepatitis in its many forms, HPV, herpes, etc. are all part of our everyday lives as your dental care team.

In addition to our standard and universal precautions we want to tell you of additional infection control procedures we have implemented. We follow the daily updates and recommendations of the American Dental Association, the CDC, and OSHA. You may notice the following changes at your next appointment:

  • ⦿ Our office will do a brief but thorough screening process prior to arriving at our office and when you arrive including taking your temperature.
  • ⦿ We have hand sanitizer present throughout our office including at the reception area when you enter and exit and ask that you please use it.
  • ⦿ We have removed difficult to clean items from our waiting rooms like magazines, children’s toys, etc.
  • ⦿ Social distancing will be considered as we allow increased space in our waiting room and the option to wait in your vehicle prior to your appointment.
  • ⦿ We request you please bring a mask for yourself to wear in our waiting room.
  • ⦿ Our staff will be wearing personal protective equipment at the highest available level which may include wearing masks and face shields for the entirety of your visit.
  • ⦿ We have installed multiple Needlepoint Bipolar Ionization Systems in our office which has proven very effective at safely filtering air within our office and killing many pathogens including SARS and other versions of coronaviruses.

We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you have regarding the steps we take to ensure the safety of everyone in our office. Thank you for being our patient and we look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors, and friends.
