Dear Patients:

We at Oral Health Associates hope this notice finds you and your family in good health. Over the last few months Green Bay has been through a lot, and we all are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. One thing that has not changed during this time is our commitment to the safety of you and our staff.

You may have noticed infection control has always been a top priority at our practice. Our established processes ensure you receive care that is both safe and comfortable. The COVID-19 pandemic is not the first contagious illness to have circulated our country, nor will it be the last. Over the lifetime of our practice we have successfully prevented the transmission of many infectious diseases such as HIV/AIDS, Swine flu, H1N1, MERS, SARS in addition to our annual “flu season.” Furthermore, hepatitis in its many forms, HPV, herpes, etc. are all part of our everyday lives as your dental care team.

In addition to our standard and universal precautions we want to tell you of additional infection control procedures we have implemented. We follow the daily updates and recommendations of the American Dental Association, the CDC, and OSHA. You may notice the following changes at your next appointment:

  • Our office will do a brief but thorough screening process prior to arriving at our office and when you arrive including taking your temperature.
  • We have hand sanitizer present throughout our office including at the reception area when you enter and exit and ask that you please use it.
  • We have removed difficult to clean items from our waiting rooms like magazines, children’s toys, etc.
  • Social distancing will be considered as we allow increased space in our waiting room and the option to wait in your vehicle prior to your appointment.
  • We request you please bring a mask for yourself to wear in our waiting room.
  • Our staff will be wearing personal protective equipment at the highest available level which may include wearing masks and face shields for the entirety of your visit.
  • We have installed multiple Needlepoint Bipolar Ionization Systems in our office which has proven very effective at safely filtering air within our office and killing many pathogens including SARS and other versions of coronaviruses.

We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you have regarding the steps we take to ensure the safety of everyone in our office. Thank you for being our patient and we look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors, and friends.

Sincerely,
Oral Health Associates
